Clock Tower in Veles

The Clock Tower in Veles was built in the first half of XVI century. Located in the center of the city it served as a observation post for the Ottoman government.
Later at the end of XVII century, the tower was transformed into a city clock, used as a time reminder for the citizens of Veles.
The Clock Tower is a typical symbol of Veles which is included in the flag and the coat-of-arms of Veles.
