Holocaust Memorial Center for the Jews of Macedonia, Skopje

Museum dedicated to Jews from Macedonia who lost their lives in the Holocaust is situated in the heart of what was once a Jewish neighborhood in the city center of the capital of Macedonia – Skopje.
This museum was built by the Jewish community in Macedonia which today has about 100 members. The museum was opened by the highest state officials of the Republic of Macedonia on March 10, 2011. The purpose of this museum is to ” preserve the memory of the Jews from Macedonia, not only to commemorate their deaths, but also their life and civilization that disappeared with them.”
The church St. Nicholas (Св. Никола) is located in Varos neighborhood, Prilep, near the church St. Mary. According to some scholars, the church was built in the second half of the XII century, on the remains of the old Slavic settlement.
