Mariovo is a region located in the central part within the ethnic borders of Macedonia. It occupies the central flow of River Crna (Black) and from all sides is surrounded with spacious mountain ranges:
„Peshta“Fortress is connected with the story of Kalesh Angya (Kales Angja, Калеш Анѓа) as a symbol of the Macedonian disobedience.
Gradesnica village in Mariovo, the birthplace of one of the most famous Macedonian folk characters “Itar Pejo” (Итар Пејо, Sly (Clever) Peter) is located on the flow of Gradeska River (Градешка Река), a natural beauty which enriches the panorama of the village.
Zovich village (Зовиќ, Бзовиќ) is located in the Municipality of Novaci, 50 km from Bitola in Mariovo region. Near the village flows Gradeska River, on which lies one of the most beautiful bridges in Macedonia, the famous “Movie Bridge”.
Novaci is a village near Bitola city, located in the eastern part of Bitola Field, on both sides of Sinevirska River, at an altitude of about 580 m.
